Isolde Shawlette
This is one of my summer crochet projects that I enjoyed working on in between my design deadlines. It is the Isolde Shawlette by Wendy Lewis. It appeared in Crochet! magazine - Summer 2013 issue.
In the magazine Wendy's design is actually for 2 shawls - one smaller version that I completed above and an extended version that adds more rows to make a large shawl. I chose the smaller one since I wanted something very lightweight for summer wear.
I used Omega's Sinfonia cotton yarn in the color Coral. (I loved the Lapis Blue the pattern called for but I already have many projects in blue.) I also added beads all along the edge in each picot. The beads add a fun touch of sparkle and help weight the edge of the shawl down to show-off its pretty shape. I also found that it needed a pin to close it up in the front to prevent it from falling off my shoulders.
Très joli! So lovelly shawl, color and motif. Nice crochet technique also. thank you for sharing your pictures with us. I loves crochet shawls and bags.
